Comprendo is built so that your sensitive documents stay yours. Here's how we protect your data, in plain English.

Documents are never stored

When you upload a PDF, take a photo, or paste text, Comprendo sends it to our AI provider, gets the analysis back, and immediately discards the document. Nothing about the contents of your document is written to our database, log files, or backups.

The plain-English summary you see on the results screen lives only in your browser. If you refresh the page or close the tab, it's gone.

Encrypted in transit

Every connection to Comprendo uses HTTPS (TLS), so your document is encrypted on its way to our servers and on its way to the AI model that analyzes it.

Account data is protected

Your name, email, and credit balance are stored in a secure database with strict access rules — each row is locked to your user account, so no other user can read or modify your data, even if they tried. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them.

Payments are handled by Paddle

Card numbers and billing details are collected and stored by Paddle, our payment processor. Comprendo never sees or stores your card information.

No selling, no sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share document contents with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Documents are only sent to the AI model for the seconds needed to produce your analysis.

Reporting a security issue

If you believe you've found a security problem, please contact us through the support channel in your account so we can investigate quickly.

Environmental responsibility

At Comprendo we are mindful of our environmental footprint. We process documents efficiently and delete them immediately after analysis — meaning we never store or reprocess data unnecessarily. We are committed to using technology responsibly.
